To deliver the course content, the just mentioned methods
of instruction are provided by various technological means,
but are primarily delivered by Web based courseware. While
a great deal of computer based instructional software is
available for these purposes, we also intend to develop new
components- particularly in the area of video instruction.
Video instruction has been a “latecomer” to Web
based courseware because limited bandwidths of early years
had prevented economical delivery. Now, however, video
instruction is not only affordable but becoming a minor
expense so we plan to use it on a large scale. While the
software we will ultimately use will probably be custom
built to our specifications, we already have tested Web
based PowerPoint as a platform for delivering video
lectures. An example of that is provided elsewhere on this
Website.
